Pollock wearing his paint

39 GBP

An interesting juxtaposition: WeAdmire were attracted to the work of Daniel Davidson because all his work was titled, what is being admired and interpreted was clear. The same cannot be said of Jackson Pollock. Admire a very good artist admiring a very famous one: Wear our Jackson Pollock Wearing His Paint t shirt by Daniel Davidson.

Please state if you would like a short sleeved mens shirt or, a long sleeved ladies shirt, and your colour preference in the 'leave a note for danieldavidson' box, at the ordering stage. Thank you.

OUR SHIRTS

Apart from the designs on these shirts, the shirts themselves might be unique for being made exclusively for us wholly out of a proprietary fibre called CoolMax Fresh FX. The CoolMax bit exploits the surface tension of water to wick moisture from your skin. It works through micro channels engineered into the profile of the fibre. These channels are physical attributes they are there for the life of the fibre.   The Fresh FX bit embeds a silver salt in the molecular structure of the fibre that kills bacteria that unchecked ultimately cause a sour odour. And because the silver salt is embedded within the fibre it is similarly permanent it will not leech out with wear and washing. What this means is that the shirts remain cool and dry almost regardless of what you might do in them and similarly they remain fresh. The fresh FX bit refers to a silver salt embedded into the molecular structure of the fibre. Because like the decoration it is within the fibre not on it it does not leech out with wear or washing. And the ongoing performance of the fabric is guaranteed. This is important, these shirts will become your favourite items of apparel, you will want to wear your shirt again and again.

The cut and fit and sizing of these shirts is exclusive to us and was specified by Anastasia Vouyouka, a published guru of fit in the fashion industry.

These shirts are marvellous to travel with, they stay fresh if you don’t have the chance to wash them, they wash easily when you do have the chance, and they dry super quickly. There is also a very useful side effect to all this: our shirts keep anything you wear on top of them and what you might wear after wearing them fresher too. The feel of the very best cotton shirts you have experienced with the performance of the fibres that set the benchmarks for wicking and freshness. It is very unlikely you will have experienced this level of technical performance in a decorated t shirt before.

Daniel has been creating art in various forms for 25 years. After leaving school and studying Graphic Arts, Daniel moved into sign design/manufacturing learning the essentials of placement and spacing of image and text. After several years in this field, Daniel embarked on a career in music working with EMI/Virgin Records, which enabled him to get involved in the creative process of writing music whilst creating an accompanying visual, in the form of illustration and moving image. As Daniel’s obsession with visual creativity increased, more of his focus and energy has been channeled into responding to eclectic references and moving towards a unique and recognisable style.

Daniel currently has work featured at the Handel and Hendrix Museum and the Saatchi Gallery Shop, whilst working as design executive at London based T-shirt designers, We Admire. Daniel’s work continues to develop, grow and create intrigue in equal measure.

Other Projects -

Colour of Music started out as an experiment allowing me to visualize the songs I love, using pitch to colour calculators and plotting chord and key changes.

Colour of Music is an ongoing experiment exploring the relationship between light and sound. These artworks are the results of a translation of two different languages, air molecules as a moving compression wave (sound), and electromagnetic waves (light).

If you are interested in commissioning me to create a Colour of Music artwork of your chosen song, please get in touch. danny.davidson3024@yahoo.co.uk
